University life
Ok so let me start my telling you that I have successfully survived a month of university. One down and thirty five more to go!
What people don’t tell you about university is that the life here is fast and hectic. You don’t have time to adjust according to your own speed. You have to work fast, be competitive and focused. You have to keep your calm and try to set your usual speed to a higher bar. This process is hectic and can be confusing. You know that you have to be careful of your company but you also know that the people who you see now are not the people who they actually are. You know that now you are alone and now can live your life according to your own will to an extent which is a scarily exciting thing to be a part of. To be very precise the first month of university is like a roller coaster right after reading an article about how a similar one malfunctioned somewhere else in the world. There are so many twists and turns and highs and lows that you enjoy it and yet you are scared that you might also get hurt like those people in the other roller coaster. There is a constant fear at the back of your mind but you also find yourself enjoying the wind against your face and the adrenaline rush with each turn.
University life is very exciting but it’s not always all fun and games like the Bollywood movies which lie to us constantly by saying it’s a bed of thornless roses. You get to know yourself better and you might also get to know so many thing that you never even knew about yourself. You start to be more observant and more cautious about how you behave and who you hang out with. Some people put themselves out there and experience new things every day and some just retreat to their shell till they are ready to burst out of their cocoons. It is a place where you meet all sorts of people and also a place which indicates that you are catapulted into the fast paced life and there is no turning back now.
You get piled on with assignments and clubs and classes and events which is both a good and a bad thing, depending on one’s perspective. For me, so far I have met so many people and have had so many experiences here and they have been great. I have joined a lot of clubs and am doing well. I do miss home and the people who are my comfort zone but then again I do understand that one needs to get out of the comfort to actually achieve something in life. Anyway, I know I’ll ‘survive’ university successfully XD. So I look forward to the journey ahead.
Here’s to everyone who are on their journey ahead! We’ll get through this successfully!!
Best of luck 🤞🏼 you will rock it
