Humans

 Humans run after meaningless things all of their lives

Instead of searching for a meaning that actually exists,

We chase after invaluable things 

While leaving all values behind 

Ignoring everything valuable in the process

And then grumble about feeling incomplete 

But never realising that what completes them has been left behind a long time back.

Tortured souls that’s what we are, 

Being born as humans 

All lost and confused 

No one knows what to do 

But we try to fake it till we think that we have made it 

Like the wax statues at Tussauds

And pretend to be rich and full 

In reality,

We will forever run after things that actually don’t matter

And by the time we realise what actually does matter,

It’s too late
