Dear me
There she goes,
So beautiful, so innocent,
Oblivious to the world’s evil stare and the people who want to bring her down,
Nose buried in a book ,
Lost in their rainbow world,
Imagining herself to be as perfect as the main character,
Wishing that she was the one in a story.
She hates herself, the beautiful body that she’s been gifted,
The fat rolls a sign that she is imperfect only in her own eyes,
Thinking that losing them would end her problems,
Oh innocent me!
You don’t understand.
Losing your weight is not a problem,
You are going to face so much more in the future.
But you are strong, you are going to survive, you will make it!
There she goes, the old me, having no concern or responsibility in her life other than herself and her imaginary imperfections.
Wish I could go back in time and tell her,
Your weight doesn’t define you or your beauty,
You are truly perfect the way you are,
Just work a little harder you are going to get to the place you desire to be,
You aren’t hopeless or helpless, you are amazing and mighty,
Trust yourself!
Stop letting some trivial things and people put you down,
You are going to make it,
Just a little more effort!
You are going to face hurdles every day,
You are going to get over them every day,
You are going to cherish every day and every moment in your life,
Your struggles will get you where you want to be and where you need to be,
Don’t rush, trust the process,
The future you is standing in front of you patiently with open arms, awaiting your arrival,
She is proudly watching you go through the journey to reach her.
The past you stands behind you, amazed at how far you have come, things she didn’t think she deserved bestowed on her,
Both of you’s lie in you and your heart.
Remember them and find happiness in every moment
Don’t listen to the people who say ‘don’t change, be the way you are’
Change is what pushes you forward.
The future you is going to be the best version of you.
So change when necessary and aim for the best.
Just never never never give up
